Cal Coast regularly supports the San Diego Food Bank. Every few months a Cal Coast Cares team goes to the warehouse in Miramar to help sort, package, count, and distribute food. We have been a partner with the Food Bank for over a year and share their mission in the fight to end food insecurity. The San Diego Food Bank serves, on average 350,000 people per month locally.
Food insecurity not only effects adults but also children, teens, and college students. The San Diego Food Bank has many different programs to assist those in need including neighborhood distributions, emergency food assistance, and Food 4 Kids Backpack program. Cal Coast is proud to support their efforts not only within the doors of the Food Bank but also through our annual Pack the Pantry food drive which helped raise food and funds to supply over 50,000 meals to local college students in 2019.
