Account Requirements:

The following must be done within 30 days of opening the account and the account must remain open for the term of the Certificate.

Must be a new member to the credit union. One certificate per Social Security Number (open or closed)
Must be new money, not currently on deposit with the credit union
Must have an active (one transaction a month, including but not limited to, Direct Deposit, Preauthorized Payments, Checks, ATM, POS, Debit Card, and Bill Pay) checking account with eStatements OR one of the following:
- New money market with a minimum balance of $5,000 OR
- New regular certificate with a minimum balance of $5,000 OR
- New IRA certificate with a minimum balance of $5,000 OR
- New (funded) consumer loan excluding share secured loans and Mastercard® credit card account (loans not eligible include: credit cards, share secured loans, certificate secured loans)

If conditions are not met during the term of the certificate, the rate on Take 5 certificate will be reduced to the $1,000, 3-month share certificate rate for the remainder of the term. No additional deposits or withdrawals can be made during the term of the certificate. The certificate will automatically transfer to the primary savings account upon maturity. 2. Referring Members: To qualify, the referring member must be an existing active California Coast Credit Union member in good standing. The referred member must be a new member to California Coast Credit Union, open a separate membership account, pay a one-time membership fee of $5, open a savings account and make a minimum deposit of $50 into a checking or savings account (balance must remain at $50 until incentive has been paid). An additional $25 dividend bonus is paid to the referring member when the referred member funds an auto loan within 30 days of account opening. Referral dividend bonuses are paid to the savings account within 3 business days of the criteria being met. Referring members can receive a maximum of $150 referral bonus, per new member referred maximum and a total of $500 in referral dividend bonuses per calendar year.
Referred Members: To qualify, the referred member must be a first-time new member, meet membership eligibility and account opening criteria, be at least 13 years old, and open the required account types: savings account, checking account with eStatments, plus deposit and maintain at least a $50 balance in either account, and one of the following: enroll in Online Banking, use Bill Pay, or set-up Direct Deposit. An additional $25 dividend bonus is paid for an auto loan that is funded within 30 days of account opening and a $75 dividend bonus is paid for a real estate loan that is funded within 120 days (excludes credit cards and lines of credit).
